DESCRIPTION:
Join the American Friends Service Committee, Topanga Peace Alliance and

other faith and peace groups for a Nonviolent Peace Meditative March in

Santa Monica spreading a clear message to end the Iraq War Now. We will

be walking to make a strong, silent and solemn statement for an end at

to the Iraq war and occupation. The US military invasion and occupation

of Iraq has caused a humanitarian catastrophe for the people of Iraq.

We call on the US to withdraw all troops from Iraq. We will end at

Arlington West in Santa Monica beach for a candle light evening to

honor the fallen soldiers and Iraqi civilian victims of the ongoing

Iraq War and occupation.

What:

Silent walk from Reed Park through the Promenade and to the Arlington

West Memorial by the Santa Monica Pier

Gather at Reed Park (on 7th Street and Wilshire) in Santa Monica. Ends

at Arlington West with a candlelight vigil
