This Thursday, come out to an emergency protest and picket at the Israeli consulate to defend the people of Palestine and Lebanon. Your solidarity is important and necessary at this time. On Sunday, Israeli bombs supplied by the U.S. government murdered around 60 civilians, most of them children, in Qana, Lebanon. The massacre has been meet with shock and disgust by millions of people all over the world. Despite the worldwide outrage at the carnage, Israel resumed its relentless bombing campaign just a few hours later.

The Qana massacre is the brutal reality of the U.S.-backed Israeli war against the people of Lebanon and Palestine. It is not the first Qana massacre of innocent people perpetrated by Israel with full backing from the U.S. government. In 1996, Israel murdered 106 people and injured around 120 more when it bombed a UN outpost in Qana.

In Israel's current invasion, more than 700 Lebanese people have been killed and over 750,000 (over 20 percent of the population) have been forced to flee their homes. In addition, more than 140 Palestinians have been killed in the last month because of Israel's most recent invasion of Gaza. The Bush administration has given Israel the "green light" to continue murdering people because it seeks to end all resistance to the U.S. project of dominating the Middle East.

Join the A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition, including member groups Free Palestine Alliance and the Palestinian American Women's Association; the National Council of Arab Americans-LA and other progressive organizations at an emergency protest this Wednesday against the racist U.S.-Israeli war in the Middle East.

Stand with the oppressed peoples of the Middle East and demand an end to the U.S.-Israeli war!
