environment harmed by mandatory jury duty.

Driving to jury duty can be harmful to the environment.

Mandatory jury duty harms the environment

Problems with mandatory jury duty
Majority Rejected
About 2/3 of drafted jurors are
rejected after having already
traveled extremely far to a distant
courthouse.
link to
many are rejected.
Distant courthouse
Drafted
jurors are required to travel
very far to distant courthouses
instead of the courthouse that is
closest to where they live.
link to
enormous distance traveled.
Drafted jurors have to drive long distances to distant
courthouses and that driving hurts the environment
by polluting the air and adding greenhouse gas and
creating replacement gasoline often includes the use
of toxic chemicals that pollute water.
Mandatory jury duty is responsible for a large portion of global warming.
Earth will eventually become extremely HOT if mandatory jury duty
is allowed to continue in the United States. ( About 250 degrees. )
Alternatives to mandatory jury duty
ALL VOLUNTEER
JURY SYSTEM
Volunteers choose a starting
week and a courthouse even though
they do not choose a specific room
or trial.
Volunteers will be able to reduce
driving by choosing a courthouse
that is closest to where they live.
Automatically
excuse people
who fail to show
up or reply to
a summons Set the fine for ignoring a
jury summons to zero.
People will not come if::
  • important work
  • important school
  • court too far away
Repeal sixth
and seventh
constitutional
amendments.
Several Radio talk show
hosts have advocated changing
the U.S. Constitution to totally
abolish juries.

Try this additional link to

going to the courthouse that is closest to where they live.

new list of articles shows increase in rate of global warming from mandatory jury duty

by Eric Matteson Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017 at 8:17 PM

The Court employees in charge of determining who gets summonned

to which courthouse

DO NOT BELIEVE IN GLOBAL WARMING.

In 1987 they required a 20 mile distance for drafted jurors.

Later, in 2013, they began advocating a 50 mile distance to court

for drafted jurors.

Global warming is increasing exponentially in response to this

increase in distance traveled by drafted jurors.

.

Link to 20 mile distance to court being required in 1987

http://articles.latimes.com/1987-04-30/local/me-2904_1_long-beach-court

( potential environmental appeals court appeal grounds is that

If a black person chooses to live in a all white neighborhood they

forfeit the right to summon black people to their jury.)

.

Link to 50 mile distance to court in 2013

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=633451

( it is unreasonable for the court to require jurors without cars to

walk more than 5 miles to jury duty )

.

Abolishing mandatory jury duty is the only solution to this problem.

Earth WILL BURN if mandatory jury duty is not abolished extremely soon.

Jury Duty is Pretty Brief

by johnk Saturday, Apr. 07, 2018 at 3:42 AM

It's a week or two. Maybe a month.

Commuting to work, which may entail an even longer drive, probably does more harm, because it happens five days a week.

reply to driving to work

by Eric Matteson Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018 at 11:24 PM

Proposition JJJ was recently duly passed by voters to

make it easier for developers to build more apartments

near where people work. Implementing proposition JJJ

by building new apartment buildings near where people

work will partially reduce global warming.

Additional reductions in driving from eliminating mandatory

jury duty will then provide a sufficient total reduction in

global warming to enable life on Earth to be saved.

Even the very small change of just setting the fine

for dodging jury duty to zero to automatically excuse

people who do not show up to jury duty will be enough to

solve the global warming problem.

Jurors frequently travel far on mandatory jury duty system

by Eric Matteson Thursday, Oct. 03, 2019 at 11:16 PM

The link

http://www.lacourt.org/division/jury/JR0025.aspx

is a reminder that:

1 ) under mandatory jury duty jurors are usually

summoned to distant courthouses.

.

2 ) it is very difficult or even impossible to change to serve

at a closer courthouse.

.

This is a reminder that making jury duty voluntary where

jurors choose a COURTHOUSE and a starting week

( but not a specific trial ! ) is the ONLY WAY to

defeat global warming!!

Traveling to mandatory jury duty remains the biggest

cause of global warming as long as jury duty

remains mandatory. Everything else has already

been worked on!!
