At SMC on June 14th the Governor will speak
The absurdity of a governor who is cutting funding for education speaking at a graduation ceremony is an insult that should not go on without protest.
Students and the local community are working to form a regional collation to protest this.
The Progressive Alliance (
antirecruite@yahoo.com ) has initiated a call to all local groups to mobilize.
Planning meeting this coming Monday the 23th at Velocity Cafe 2127 Lincoln Blvd in Santa Monica (Pearl & Lincoln) at 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. This is a great cafe with free internet and lots of activists drinking strong coffee. :-)
